Royal history

Our initial company was established around 1868, when we started our trading in butter. Exactly 100 years later, we earned the "Royal" designation.

In that same year 1968 VIV Vreeland started their activities in the field of butteroil and butter ghee.

A closer cooperation between the 2 companies was necessary, when a brand-new factory to produce fresh cream butter was built in Zelhem at 2001.

As we served more or less the same markets as 2 separate companies, we decided to integrate our commerial activities in 2008. It resulted finally in an official full merger of Royal Buisman and VIV Vreeland as per 1st January 2009 : Royal VIV Buisman was born.

Needless to say that we are very proud that - after so many years - we still may carry the royal designation in our company name. We see it as recognition of our way of doing business for decades: we keep our word! Co-operation with Royal VIV Buisman will therefore always run smoothly.
